Acquisition acceleration by means of Parallel Imaging (PI) technology is available as an option for standard imaging methods. For routine image reconstruction of data simultaneously acquired from multiple RF-coil elements the GRAPPA technique is used.

With ParaVision 5.0 parallel imaging is available for all imaging techniques including echo planer imaging (except spiral imaging).
