ParaVision 5.0 - New applications and methods
Parallel EPI Imaging
Parallel echo planar imaging (EPI) using GRAPPA is making it possible to overcome high field challenges in MRI. It can now be run in single shot as well as segmented mode at very high image quality.
- Reduced geometric distortions
- Shorter echo times
- Improved spatial and temporal resolution

Ultra Short Echo Time Imaging
Ultrashort echo time (UTE) pulse sequences are sensitive to the presence of short T2 relaxation components in tissue produced by iron deposition and other processes. They give a new insight into brain or bone structures with an interesting potential for clinical diagnosis.
- New contrasts in MRI using ultra short echo time
imaging (UTE) - Radial imaging techniques
- Minimal echo time of less than 300 μs
Fourier Flow Imaging
The fast Fourier flow method of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging offers a fast and efficient way of measuring quantitative flow. A detailed examination of flow profiles is possible even in smaller vessels.
- Quantitative Fourier Flow Imaging
- Based on phase contrast angiography
- Multi dimensional data evaluation
Parallel Routine Imaging
With ParaVision 5.0 parallel imaging is available for all imaging techniques including echo planer imaging (except spiral imaging).
- Reduced scan times
- Higher animal throughput
- Integrated reference scan
- Improved spatial resolution
